Hands On Activity: How to Wash Your Hands

I am a pre-k teacher. My students are ages three and five. I love to use technology to make learning fun and exiting.

During the first week of school. I showed my students the proper way of hand washing, by allwoing them to view this short presentation.

For this age group; adults should make sure you turn the water on for the children.

1. Put your hands under the warm water.
2. Use one squeeze of hand washing soap.
3. Make bubbles using the soap. Do not forget backs of hands, between fingers, under finger nails, your wrists and palms.
4. Rinse the bubbles and germs down the drain.
5. Take one paper towel.
6. Dry your hands.
7. Put towel in trash can.
Make sure children are aware that by washing their hands thoroughly, they are less likely to catch colds, other viruses and others germs.

Ashford EDU 651

In the two weeks that I have been in my new class class titled Collaboration & Learning in a virtual environment, I have learned several things.
During week one, I had the pleasure of meeting new students whom of which are enrolled in the same program as I am. Three of my fellow classmates have joined me on facebook. I am very excited about our new friendship. I feel that we can support each other through this class and we will build a lifelong relationship in education. I also learned about several new tools for learning.
In week two, I am learning about wiki’s. This is a very new tool for me. I am having a hard time getting familiar with it. I really don’t want to lose points on my assignment, because I do not understand it. Several more of my classmates are experiencing the same problems as I. I just hope it all works out.

Earning My Masters

Being a teacher has been an exciting fun filled adventure for me. After I earned my undergraduate degree, I soon began teaching preschool kids. It was my first year out of school, so I was new to everything. It was difficult at first because I didn't know how everything went. I was sort of upset, because I had never received the proper training it took to be a successful teacher. I guess you would think since I graduated college I should have the accurate guidance. I was taught everything I needed to know. But every organization has its own rules and regulations that employees have to follow. I was just so lucky to have an assistant that had been there longer than I had. My assistant knew how everything went. She taught me the policy and regulations.

This is my second year teaching and it has been a blast. When I started my second year in August I knew what I needed to know to flourish.

I made my decision to continue my education recently. My reason for wanting to earn my Masters is because I would like to provide my student with better instruction and materials. I would like also to share my knowledge with my fellow co-workers and upper management. I want my students to be as successful as their their.

With anything new that you experience it can sometimes be a struggle to get adjusted. Once you become accustomed to that experience, other doors opens and allow an individual to see where they are headed and what they want in life.
